Peer Mentor Program

University can be quite daunting, especially when you have just come out of High School.  That’s why the Monash Law Peer Mentor Program (PMP) is here.  We will provide you with the tools needed to make University an exciting journey.

You, as a first year student, are given a mentor who will provide guidance and assistance in your first year at Monash University.  This may include casual exchanges via email and get-togethers where the students so desire.

Firstly, you will be introduced to your peers through an Introduction Night on Friday 22 February, allowing you to socialise with other first years in an informal setting at the Grace Park Tennis Club.  The party will then move on to the Glenferrie Hotel, making for an unforgettable night.

Following the Intro Night, a Law faculty welcoming is held on Monday 25 February.  After the welcoming, the PMP will host a Scavenger Hunt for you, so that you can get your bearing of the Monash University landscape.  This will conclude with a free BBQ, provided by the Law Students Society, allowing you to sign up to the LSS and First Year Law Camp.

After these introductory events, a number of BBQ’s, newsletters and educational seminars will be held throughout the semester by the PMP to assist you.  Mentors will also meet up with you regularly.

So don’t hesitate to join the program that all first year law students rave about!
