Director’s Introduction

The Monash LSS Careers Portfolio is here to support students on their professional legal journey through key networking events, mentoring programs, panel discussions, skills workshops and insightful publications, with key events being the mid-year Meet the Firms, Clerkship Guide Launch Night and Peer Mentoring Program.

Our team works together with a wide range of law firms and other professional organisations to provide students with information about potential career paths, the avenues by which they can attain their desired roles and how to best prepare themselves for securing a job after university.

The annual Clerkship Guide is a comprehensive resource, published each May, and spans over 200 pages and provides detailed information on firms offering clerkships, including firm profiles, articles, and advertisements. It serves as an essential tool for students navigating the competitive clerkship application process. This is launched alongside the Clerkship Guide Launch Night which is the biggest careers event of the year, and is a key networking event for any student interested in applying to clerkships.
