SJE Guide and Guide Launch Night – 14th April
Join us to kick the year off with a wonderful night of exploring the wealth of opportunities in the sphere of social justice and the law!
Not just celebrating the launch of our SJE guide, this is the perfect opportunity to network with fellow students who share your values, and meet representatives from the organisations featured in our guide to get a sense of professional opportunities, as well as learning more about the social justice electives offered at Monash. From Animal Law and Climate Change, to International Law and Law Reform, there is a wide range of subjects to cater to your interests.
Reasonable Observer Writing Competition and Blog
The Reasonable Observer is our Publications Office’s wonderful writing competition, and your perfect opportunity to develop your research and writing skills and demonstrate your passion for legal issues regarding social justice.
This is a wonderful opportunity not only to write, but to have your article read and evaluated by an adjudicator with extensive legal experience and knowledge. For those who might be interested in their area for their honours or research unit, this is the perfect starting point, and can help connect you with legal professionals and the wonderful faculty at Monash Law. Whether you have a topic in mind, one that you’ve always or recently become passionate about, or want to test and build on your legal writing skills, we invite you to demonstrate your skills and knowledge!
Our Awards Night will be on the 15th of September to celebrate your hard work and dedication. Every entrant will receive a comprehensive booklet featuring all submitted articles, which will provide you with a body of work you can reference in clerkship applications, job interviews and networking events.
