Melbourne Zoo Trip
Did you know that, much like a law student during finals, quokkas are nocturnal? Fix your sleep schedule and come along with us on a day trip to the Melbourne Zoo! Whether you’re looking to take a breather from case law, or just here to marvel at Australia’s incredible wildlife, we at the LSS International Students’ Office invite you to join us on our day of making new friends, furry or not.
International Students Luncheon
They say there is no such thing as a free lunch, but the International Student Office begs to differ — at the start of each semester this year, we international students get a treat, on the house! What better way to make genuine connections, bond over the highs and lows of tertiary education, and just bond than over a plate of sushi at the Law Kitchen?
International Graduates Panel
“In this terrifying world, all we have are the connections we make.”
We hear you — we understand the struggle of making connections in a foreign country, let alone LinkedIn connections. Catered to international students such as yourself and I, the International Graduates Panel Networking Night is designed to connect you with industry professionals, and also address any questions you might have, be it in regards to visas, clerkships, post-law school procedures or any alternative pathways you might wish to explore.
International Students Dinner
Balancing case law, cooking edible meals, and socialising can be tough—but we’ve got you covered. Our International Students Dinner is your chance to unwind, share a meal, and make new friends. This year, we’re hosting two relaxed dinners: one in the city for our postgraduate friends and another at Chadstone. All you need to bring is an appetite and a smile!
FunLab Events
All work and no play? Not here! Australia’s all about work-life balance, and we at the LSS wish to reflect that. This year, we’ve planned four FunLab events for our international students — from the Challenge Rooms at Hijinx Hotel to Strike Bowling and the quirky Holey Moley Golf Courses, there will be something for everyone!
